Being a blacksmith at 11 years old, a hunter an outdoorsman myself I forged my knives according to their use.... design my outdoor tools to perfection, and used them while going hunting or going outdoors.

Here in Saskatchewan Canada, I started going out hunting with friends... the first thing I noticed is the knife they use. it's dull and messy ... in the end, I started forging my first GS knife and on the next hunting trip we used it and the friends started noticing the result
I finished 6 deer from field dressing to skinning with one knife without re-sharpening. The secret is the knife itself; being a professional blacksmith I hardened my knife and the gut hook separately making it a bi-hardened blade that shows the Hammon of the steel creating a super sharp edge but soft blade in the middle.
